The results of those dice are what they have to work with the entire session!\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAs characters attempt risky actions, the DM will call for them to be resolved with those dice. A difficulty value (DV) to the action is decided, between 2-6. The Fated chooses a die from their current supply and spends it, succeeding or failing depending on if they meet or exceed the DV.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThat's right, you know whether or not you succeed! Sometimes you might need to choose to fail, saving some of those higher-valued dice for riskier actions in the future.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eTicking away during the session are two clocks: Doom and Defy. The segments of these mark how much closer the Fated are to their world ending, or a defiance of that fate.
