Omen

OMEN is a TTRPG all about defying fate. Designed as a one-shot, you and your friends will come together, create a doomed world, and do what you can to save it.

OMEN is designed to be played as a oneshot, so you'll tell the whole story of your doomed world in one session.

You'll start by coming together as a group and learning a little bit about this world. OMEN has no implied setting, so you can be anywhere! Whatever genre fits your vibe, it's doomed to die.

To play, each Fated will roll a giant pool of d6 at the start of the session. The results of those dice are what they have to work with the entire session!

As characters attempt risky actions, the DM will call for them to be resolved with those dice. A difficulty value (DV) to the action is decided, between 2-6. The Fated chooses a die from their current supply and spends it, succeeding or failing depending on if they meet or exceed the DV.

That's right, you know whether or not you succeed! Sometimes you might need to choose to fail, saving some of those higher-valued dice for riskier actions in the future.

Ticking away during the session are two clocks: Doom and Defy. The segments of these mark how much closer the Fated are to their world ending, or a defiance of that fate. When either clock fills, the session ends with an exciting epilogue!
